Write for us
Grand News Perspective welcomes pitches that help readers understand how countryside news is framed, described and set in context. Send proposals through the Contact page, with Write for Us selected as the reason for writing.
What we welcome
We are interested in clear, original pieces about headline language, rural place descriptions, news conventions, reading habits and the context that can help a report make sense. A useful contribution gives readers a question or method they can carry into other stories.
A good pitch
Tell us the central idea, why it matters to a general reader and what the piece would help them notice or do. Include a brief outline and any relevant links or background needed to assess the proposal. Avoid claims that depend on evidence you cannot provide, and say plainly when a point is interpretation rather than fact.
Sending a proposal
Use the Contact page and choose the editorial option for a writing proposal. A pitch is not a guarantee of publication; we may ask for clarification or a different approach. Please do not send a complete unsolicited manuscript unless invited.
A headline is only the first field of view
Countryside stories carry a sense of place, as well as facts and voices. We look at how they are framed, what their language suggests and what a reader might seek next.
